My name is Anna Warnock, and I have started a new breed of dental practice that is very sensitive to environmental and health issues among our patients. As a result, we consider ourselves a “green” office. Here are some of the ways we are environmentally conscious and patient sensitive:
We recycle all materials that can be recycled. -
Our office does not place mercury (silver) fillings and we dispose of all mercury remnants from old fillings in a safe and environmentally friendly manner.
We are a “paperless” office. All patient documents are digitally recorded and signed electronically. Any paperwork that you bring to us is scanned into our system and returned to you for safekeeping or shredded and recycled.
In order to decrease patient and staff exposure to radiation and to decrease staff exposure to harsh chemicals involved with film processing, all of our radiographs are computerized. Computerized radiographs produce 1/100th the amount of radiation of traditional dental radiographs using film.
There has been a recent increase in patient sensitivities and allergies to latex. As a result, we are a latex-free free environment.
We recycle all materials that can be recycled. -
